Our mission is to employ new materials to create electrical and mechanical devices with unique and exceptional characteristics. Materials include carbon nanotubes, electronically conducting polymers and protein complexes. These are used to create artificial muscle, supercapacitors, printable transistors and solar cells. We endeavour to relate the fundamental physical properties and structure of the materials to device performance. Our work involves aspects of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and electrochemistry.
